UNUSED GIFTS

Unused Gift is a multimedia artwork in my (VISIONS AND DREAMS Collection) And (INSPIRATIONAL GRAPHICS Collection).

The artwork uses a broad range of greyscales to set the tone of a serious work, with a feeling of melancholy. The vision offered this tone and emotional effect, purposefully.

Why purposefully? It submerged me in a “positive-negative urgency”.

Positive, because on a rainy day, I have the ability to keep dry. I have an umbrella. The umbrella appears to be fresh and unused or well kept.

Negative, because although I have the umbrella, I am still wet. How can one have the ability to be protected from the heavy rain or storm, when one possesses the power or gift of being dry.

Your abilities and gifts like the umbrella are not only discarded from your hands, it remains snapped closed. Because you dared not to even try to utilize them.

My Life Urgency, and I hope my life urgency will be shared by the viewers of this work; is that we fully develop and utilize every customized God-given talent we were birth with. Gifts we received at a natural or spiritual birth, (John 3: 1-7).

Just like the umbrella is a customized tool again the storms, our gifts are customized tools again adversities and spiritual deprivations.
